Saturday, July 11, marks the beginning of work week one for ABCUSA / ABCNJ’s third annual “Coming Together for New Jersey” Sandy relief outreach.  Volunteers from across the state and across the country will be coming to NJ to help our area “Rebuild, Renew and Restore.”

If you would like to be a part of the work by rolling up your sleeves and joining the team, or by helping to provide some fresh baked snacks for the workers, please contact Denise Gratzel.

Here’s the page from ABHMS (America Baptist Home Mission Societies) web site about the program

“Coming Together for New Jersey…Rebuild, Renew and Restore”

Coming Together for New Jersey flier 2015

Hurricane Sandy devastated New Jersey when it hit the East Coast on Oct. 29, 2012. A joint effort of American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS) and American Baptist Churches of New Jersey (ABCNJ), “Coming Together for New Jersey (CTFNJ)…Rebuild, Renew and Restore” provides two mission opportunities from which to choose in summer 2015: July 11-18, and Aug. 8-15.

Join in hands-on efforts to rebuild homes, communities and lives, while encouraging and supporting those in need and worshiping with ABCNJ congregations.

Neither construction skills nor training is required.
