Greetings friends, and Grace and Peace be to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!

My name is Pastor James Elliott and it is my joy and honor to serve my Lord Jesus Christ and His people here at First Baptist of Manasquan.

I would like to share with you a bit about who I am as a person and a Christian. I am a native New Jerseyan, growing up in Wildwood Crest, NJ. God has blessed me with a wonderful Christian wife names Meredith, and a beautiful 17-year-old daughter names Sonja. Sonja is a precious gift of God and a blessing to Meredith and me. We also have 3 “furry girls”, Sassy (our kitty), and two dogs names Jill and Daphne.

I received my education locally, at the Richard Stockton of New Jersey College where I studied Psychology and Elementary Education. I then attend Palmer Seminary (now at Eastern University), where I earned a Master of Divinity degree. I had a wonderful experience in both college and seminary and enjoyed personal and spiritual growth throughout those years.

As a Christian, a pastor, ad a preacher, I am theologically conservative. I believe that the Bible is the most holy Word of God which God has given to us to share His heart and His will. I believe that the Bible is “God-breathed”, or inspired by the Holy Spirit, and I believe that the Gospel has the power to save souls.

I strive, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to faithfully preach the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and to faithfully serve all God’s children. My heart’s desire is to share Jesus Christ, and His grace and forgiveness, His heart changing and life-changing power, with all people.

I also love and respect all people, and I would love to meet you and get to know you as a person. Our hearts are open to you and to all people. Please feel welcomed and invited to come and worship with s and to serve others with us.
